A highly collaborative systems thinker and change agent, Sharon is passionate about supporting both individuals and organizations to increase their impact. Down-to-earth and with a sense of humour, she has a demonstrated ability to distill challenging information with clarity to diverse audiences, and to create proactive, engaging environments that support teams to thrive, even in times of uncertainty.

Infusing her consulting work is significant practical knowledge and experience gained in executive leadership roles across more than 25 years in the sector, nationally and provincially; as well as through her role since 2015 as an Instructor with the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies’ Non-Profit Leadership for Impact Certificate program, and as a member of the Certificate curriculum design team. She has demonstrated her commitment to supporting leaders at every level to deepen their skills and knowledge and realize their potential, creating a ripple effect that strengthens the sector overall.

Executive leadership experience in the sector includes:

  • Interim Executive Director, Amref Health Africa in Canada
  • CEO of Prince’s Trust Canada (now The King’s Trust Canada)
  • President and CEO of Kids Help Phone
  • CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (Ontario, and Interim National CEO)
  • Executive Director of Crossroads International; and
  • Director of Organizational Development at the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Across these roles she has brought her solutions-focused energy to leading significant developments in governance, strategy, funding, innovation and partnerships, and the process to become accredited within the Imagine Canada Standards Program.

A dedicated Board Director and governance leader, Sharon serves as Chair of The GenWell Foundation; Vice-Chair of Parkinson Canada; Chair, Governance & Human Resources Committee at Amref Health Africa in Canada; and Board Director at the Excellence in Literacy Foundation and the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario.

Committed to lifelong learning, Sharon has continued her professional development with programs dedicated to nonprofit, social impact leadership at the Harvard Business School, the Ivey School of Business, and Third Sector Company’s Interim Executive Academy.

And most importantly, Sharon is an enthusiastic planner of family trips and gatherings, and a joyful parent, partner, daughter, friend, hiker, skier, walker, reader, traveler, theatre-goer, baker, community member, and crossworder.
